2025 Annual Review: Institutional Consolidation and Cultural Resonance
For the Alan Nekhay Foundation, 2025 was defined by a period of institutional consolidation and a focused expansion of contemporary art discourse. As we transition into the new year, we reflect on the past twelve months through the lens of our core initiatives and their impact on the cultural landscape.
Exhibitions: Centering Female Narratives
A central milestone of the year was the exhibition Lace grace revolt in Turkey. This project was dedicated to the visibility of female narratives and the evolving role of women in contemporary art. Defined by its strong critical reception in both international and local media, the exhibition served as a vital platform for gender-focused discourse and cross-cultural exchange. It remains a cornerstone of our mission to support voices that challenge and enrich the artistic dialogue.
Public Programming: Discourse and Dialogue
In 2025, our commitment to education and intellectual exchange found a significant global audience. Through a curated series of public talks and lectures addressing urgent cultural themes, we fostered a space for deep engagement. We are encouraged by the resonance of this content, which has now surpassed 250,000 views on our YouTube channel, confirming the growing demand for accessible, high-level art discourse.
Digital Presence: Access and Transparency
This year also marked our first major steps toward digital openness. The launch of the Foundation’s official website and the complete digitization of our collection have been fundamental in establishing a transparent digital infrastructure. These platforms allow us to share our archive with a broader audience, ensuring that our artistic resources and research are available beyond our physical location.
Acknowledgements
We extend our sincere gratitude to the artists, curators, and our community of supporters for their vital role in the Foundation’s journey. This year’s achievements are the result of a collective effort, and your participation continues to shape our path forward.
